Pablo Picasso 
Pablo Picasso was a great
artist. At ten years old he and his family moved to La Coruña, were
he went to professional art schools. In 1895 Picasso already painted magnificent
pictures. But Picasso's drawings were like everyone elses. He wanted them
to be diferent. So he started drawing pictures of people that didn't exactly
look like people. Picasso created his own musem. The musem had a few pictures
made by Sabartes, Picasso's friend. In 1900 Picasso went to Paris. A lot
of people were impressed with his art. Now his life was more difficult.
He began to paint pictures of misery and sadness. This was called the blue
period. When he was totaly installed in Paris he started his rose period.
In 1906 he returned to Catalonia, where he stayed for three months. During
this time he was inspired by bright colors and the Mediterranean landscapes.
During the Spanish Civil war (1936-1939) Picasso was on the side of the
Republic and so he became the director of the musem. Pablo Picasso went
on making many diferent kinds of art types. His carachters never ended,
making him one of our great artist today.
